Founder’s Story. This article is about WEVN’s own founder and was written by WEVN Editorial. It is not an independent interview.
Most of the world's business coverage follows the same few hundred names. Yassir Baaziz has spent his career working with people who rarely appear in it: the operators, forwarders and founders who keep goods, data and capital moving across Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas.
His path to technology began in operations. After studying economics and business management in Meknes, Morocco, he worked in accounting, consumer finance, customer relations and sales before logistics became his focus. At Lord Logistics he oversaw operational, administrative and commercial functions across subsidiaries, from warehousing, dispatch and inventory to transport and fleet management, and helped set up two subsidiaries from scratch. At LOGIPHAR he took on internal audit and quality responsibilities, including distribution procedures, inventory controls and a fleet of more than 80 vehicles.
He then moved into logistics technology, earning CargoWise credentials up to CargoWise Certified Professional. At SFL Tech he served as Senior CargoWise One Consultant and later as Managing Director Africa.
In 2021 he founded Yadri Trans in Meknes. CargoWise's partner directory lists the company as a Service, Referral and Business Partner since 2021 and describes it as North Africa's first CargoWise Business-and-Service Partner. Over the past three years, Yadri Trans has grown to a team of more than 47 supply chain and software development experts. It reports more than 500 integrations delivered, and it now also operates a US-based entity. The company works with freight forwarders on CargoWise implementation, integration, custom development, automation, business intelligence, support and training, in Arabic, English, French and Italian.
His working principle is simple:
A sophisticated system offers limited value if it creates additional work for those using it.
Baaziz is also the author of several practical books on the trade, including Streamlined Logistics: Navigating Freight Forwarding Optimization, The Freight Brokerage Playbook and Streamlining Supply Chains: Solutions for Freight & Customs.
In 2026 he launched WEVN, the World Executive Voice Network.
The gap WEVN was built to fill
WEVN exists to cover the leaders whose decisions deserve a proper account, especially in the secondary and emerging markets that global business media tends to overlook. These are founders and executives who build companies across borders, currencies and regulatory systems, often with less capital and less attention than their peers in the largest markets.
Decisions over biographies
WEVN's editorial approach is built on four principles:
From logistics to media
Baaziz built Yadri Trans around problems he had seen firsthand in warehouses, fleets and forwarding offices. WEVN follows the same logic: the most interesting business decisions are often made far from the usual headlines, by people who know their markets better than anyone covering them from outside. Serving freight forwarders across four regions, in four languages, means meeting those leaders every day.
